Sign Up for President's Cup Individual Match Play Tournament

 

The President's Cup is a multi-round, all-summer long match play bracket-style tournament, where the best individual match player is left standing.  Each round is typically three weeks long, and you schedule your own match times with your opponent within that three week window. The bracket is limited to 64 players. We use two qualifier rounds if we have more than 64 players to cut the list to 64.  If we have fewer than 64 players, we will fill open slots from a waiting list.

Signing up for President's Cup is a TWO STEP process. 

It is pretty simple but please READ and FOLLOW the instructions below. 

 

Step 1: Activate yourself on the President's Cup Event Page to enable Round Registration.  You MUST do this on a Computer or on a Mobile WEB BROWSER, the event will not show up in the Mobile app until you do this step. 

Step 2: Register for individual Qualifier Rounds or the Wait List.

 

You must do Step 1 in the web browser on either your Computer, mobile phone or tablet. There are separate instructions below for Computer Web Browser, and Mobile Phone App users.

If you are reading this, you are on the right page - you can skip these two steps. If you need to find this page again, do the following

 

1. Go to https://wmc.golfgenius.com/ 
2. Click on the President's Cup link in the top Navigation Menu

 

Step 1: Activate (Register) for the President's Cup Roster

 

You must do this step using a Computer or Mobile Web Browser - Not the Mobile App! 

The event will not show up in the Mobile App event list until you have registered for it! 

 

First, Sign in using the Sign In link at the top right (or in the "three bar menu" on a phone). If the Gears are showing you are already logged in. If you do not have a Golf Genius account (email/password) contact willowsmensclub@hotmail.com. 

 

1. Click big green Register for the President's Cup button, right under the logo. 
   >> If it says you need a GGID to log in, you are not logged in with your Golf Genius account.

2. Click New Registration

3. Type the first few letters of your last name in box - then pick your name when it shows up.
   >> If your name is not listed, contact willowsmensclub@hotmail.com to get added to the master roster.

4. Click continue.

5. Confirm the information on the page, and enter any missing info.

6. Check the box and click Register

7. You are now activated on the President's Cup Roster. 

 

You MUST continue to Step 2 to sign up for the individual Qualifiers or the Wait List.

Step 2: Sign up for one or both Qualifiers or the Wait List - You MUST do this to complete your registration.

If you are on a phone, you may continue in the Browser on your phone OR switch to the Mobile App.  

 

Using the Browser

1. Go to the President's Cup Home Screen again.

2. You should see Upcoming Rounds right under the Willows Run logo.  

3. Click the Sign Up button and CONFRIM on the next screen for each Qualifier that you want to sign up for, or the wait list.

4. You can send a message to the Tournament Director on the confirmation screen if you have any special requests.

5. The Wait List is ONLY if you cannot play in either Qualifier. Do not sign up for the Wait List if you are playing in a Qualifier.

 

Using the Mobile App:

1. Open the app and sign in.
2. You should see a red bar at the top of the page "Get Started!" 
   1. If any other screen is showing, tap the three bars and click the very top of the screen.
3. Choose WMC President's Cup Match 2021
4. Tap on "Member Portal" (middle of the screen on the menu screen)
5. Tap on "Registration Info"
6. Tap on "Round Signup"
7. Select one or both Qualifier Rounds or the Wait List Round and sign up. 
8. Click the Sign Up button and CONFRIM on the next screen.
9. You can send a message to the Tournament Director on the confirmation screen if you have any special requests.

 

To Cancel or Change Rounds 

Follow the Step 2 instructions for Browser or Mobile App to cancel or change the rounds you are signed up for.
